Book signing for: DIRE NEEDS-DIRE STRAITS

Today marks the debut of my book dealing with two vastly contrasting forms of education that were prevalent in our area starting in 1930. Times were difficult during the Depression but determination brought the subjects of this book through these years of turmoil. Their stories impact our area to this day. It is a story of ups and downs. It covers all the emotions from happiness and joy to anguish and resolve. Most of the readers will be surprised to know that my story starts in Miscampbell Township.

Joe Wiegand is considered the world's premiere Theodore Roosevelt reprisor. As an actor and historian, Joe's portrayals of Theodore Roosevelt in live performances, such as those in Medora, ND, have people wondering if Teddy Roosevelt has come back to life! Theodore Roosevelt was a soldier and statesman, explorer and scientist, historian and author. Our youngest president, he personified a vigorous nation on the cusp of the American Century.
